Bags is important during travel. An increasing number of travelers are attempting to navigate the baggage rules of low-cost airlines and their high fees. Moreover, various hacks are being employed to carry more items onboard, in addition to the small cabin baggage included in the ticket price.

But which bag perfectly adheres to the imposed dimensions? Yes, to avoid exceeding their limits, these airlines provide a baggage sizer at the airport.

The cabin bag you bring must effortlessly fit in and out of the sizer. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay a supplement or check in your baggage.

However, there are bags approved by thousands of travelers. These bags allegedly meet the required dimensions set by airlines, including Ryanair, easyJet, and Wizz Air. Here are more details.

The emergence of bags that have gone viral on the internet has enabled numerous travelers to fly with well-known low-cost airlines known for their strict policies. Hence, flying with Ryanair, easyJet, or even Wizz Air won’t subject you to additional charges for a few extra centimeters on your baggage.

To verify whether the rumor holds true for these three bags, deal expert Chelsea Dickenson decided to put them to the test. The founder of the specialized website “Cheap Holiday Expert” chose bags from three different brands:

  1. The Narwey Duffle, 20 L, the “Ryanair viral bag” for under 15 euros,
  2. The Kono Carry On, 30 L, a practical and ergonomic backpack,
  3. The Mountain Warehouse, 40 L, a bag for short getaways.
  4. Chelsea attempts to fit each bag into the baggage sizers of Ryanair, easyJet, and Wizz Air, sharing the video of her experiments on TikTok.

The Narwey Duffle easily fits into all three sizers, while the Kono Carry On slightly exceeds Ryanair’s limits. Lastly, the third bag, the 40 L Mountain Warehouse, fails the test for both Ryanair and Wizz Air.

Cabin Baggage: “Airlines Are Making Us Pay More”

On online shopping platforms such as Amazon, bags of various sizes are displayed at affordable prices and have gained considerable popularity. However, this hasn’t deterred low-cost airlines from reinforcing their cabin baggage policies.

Following Chelsea Dickenson’s tests, numerous internet users have shared their experiences with these bags and the airlines they travel with.

For most, the rules are becoming increasingly stringent, making it challenging to bypass them, even when using bags specifically designed to comply with the exact dimensions stated on airline websites.

“I think they’ve become stricter and more inclined to make us pay in recent months. Every time I’ve had a hand-sized suitcase, both easyJet and Ryanair have checked it, and they’ve done the same with other passengers,” attests one user.

Another shares, “My bag fit in the easyJet sizer, but since it was ‘forced,’ I had to pay. They made at least 30 people pay for this flight.”

And you, which bag can you recommend?
