Air France airline has launched a new recruitment campaign for pilot cadets, offering comprehensive training fully funded by the airline, accessible without any prior flying experience.

Exciting Opportunity: Air France Seeks Aspiring Pilots for Cadet Program

Applications are open until July 31, 2023, for the new campaign of the French national carrier, on its dedicated website. After a rigorous selection process, the successful candidates will join the approximately 80 cadets currently undergoing training at Air France’s partner flight schools in France. They will then be able to take command as Line Pilot Officers, flying:

Air France’s Airbus A220 and A320 aircraft

Transavia’s Boeing 737 aircraft, as well as future Airbus A320 and A321neo aircraft.
The airline emphasizes that in 2022, 135 cadets joined the 4,500 Air France and Transavia pilots. This year, in 2023, Air France plans to recruit a total of 450 to 500 pilots to strengthen its teams.

Air France Cadet Program: Inspiring Careers in Aviation

This cadet program has certain entry requirements: high school diploma for those holding the theoretical Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), or “after a certain number of years of higher education” for candidates without any flying experience. It aims to inspire candidates from diverse backgrounds, highlighting the career opportunities offered by the profession of an airline pilot.

With 10% female cadets in the previous cohort compared to 9% female pilots in the company overall, the cadet program “encourages women to pursue careers in technical fields and illustrates Air France’s commitment to gender equality in the workplace.”
