Etihad Airways is gearing up to welcome approximately 4 million passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport between June 20 and September 30 as travelers head out for their summer holidays.

The airport will also receive transit passengers coming through Etihad Airways’ network of 66 destinations, including the newly launched summer destinations of Lisbon, Malaga, and Mykonos.

Etihad Airways’ online travel clearance feature allows guests to complete passport and visa checks before arriving at the airport. They can instantly verify document compliance with travel and visa requirements, ensuring a seamless travel experience upon arrival at the airport. The self-service baggage clearance service provides a quick data check, enabling transactions for a larger number of passengers and reducing wait times in long queues. After completing the online travel procedures, guests can proceed to self-service kiosks to print their boarding passes and baggage tags, finalizing the necessary processes in less than two minutes.

Shuaib Al Najjar, the General Manager of Etihad Airways Operations at Abu Dhabi International Airport, said, “In addition to holidaymakers, we look forward to welcoming pilgrims, whether they are UAE residents or transiting through our network from various destinations. With our award-winning cabin crew, family-friendly offerings, and diverse cabin options, our guests will have the best possible travel experience. By adopting the latest cutting-edge technologies, we can provide a more personalized and seamless travel experience for our guests.”
